[Ravenhill Herb Farm]

Andrew Yeoman and Noel Richardson began writing about Ravenhill because they were asked so many questions about life on the farm.

The farm and garden also serve as a community resource for garden clubs, painting classes, photographers and students of horticulture, landscape architecture and cooking.

As well, they have hosted fund-raising events, such as the first annual Vancouver Island Feast of Fields, a benefit for Farm Folk City Folk which seeks to rebuild the bond between food and agriculture.

Life at Ravenhill Farm, above, is a collection of country essays, recipes and gardening tips. It's in its 2nd printing.

In a West Coast Kitchen Garden, left, is the definitive how-to compendium of the ninety-plus main culinary herbs and vegetables grown successfully at Ravenhill Farm.

All the books were published by Whitecap Books of Vancouver, BC, and are distributed in the United States by Graphic Arts of Portland, OR. They are available from most bookstores, from amazon.com, and at Ravenhill Herb Farm.

Winter Pleasures, all about preserving herbs and cooking with preserved herbs, is in its 3rd printing.

Summer Delights, now in its 5th printing and 2nd edition, is a delightfully-illustrated book on cooking with fresh herbs.
