Wide selection of culinary and landscape herb plants, as well as fresh cut herbs in season.

Interest in culinary, medicinal and landscape herbs is still expanding here in the Pacific Northwest, and Ravenhill features many uncommon varieties. Basils such as Ocimum basilcum 'Thai,' 'Citriodorum,' and 'Rubin' are examples of more sought-after versions of sweet basil. Other new herb plant varieties include silver lavender (Lavandula lanata), a plant with outstanding winter foliage that is said to be hardy to -15 degrees F. | ![]() |

Thyme in many varieties thrive in the clay loam soil. Pictured above, caraway thyme, anise hyssop and mint all mingle with landscape herbs.
In the herb garden shown at left are curry plant, ladies mantle, lovage and bronze fennel. |

LEFT A potted bay tree makes a lovely statement on the terrace or in the kitchen garden. Yellow Banksia roses spill over the greenhouse at the back of the garden.
Andrew Yeoman's herb garden designs can be seen at Government House in Victoria, and as well, at Spinnaker's Brew Pub in Esquimalt, a seaside suburb of Victoria. |
